Due to the presence of this station, and the Frankfurt Airport nearby, this neighborhood is where every culture and nationality coexist in Frankfurt. Bahnofsviertel is also known as Frankfurter Red Light District.
“In the station district, the pulse of this city beats faster than at any other location in Frankfurt. Anyone living or working in the Bahnhofsviertel knows how Frankfurt, a city of constant change, is ticking. This constant urge for change can be felt every step of the way in the eight lively streets of the station district. Representatives of all cultures, religions, and worldviews of this city meet here to realize their very own life plans in a peaceful dialogue. This year’s Bahnhofsiertelnacht on Thursday, August 16, is under the motto “Arrive”. Because whether Frankfurt or tourist, I am delighted to welcome you all to the Bahnhofsviertel on the 16th of August and I am curious about your stories,” said Peter Feldmann, Mayor of Frankfurt.
Bahnhofsviertelnacht this year has 50 participants, including multiple stores, restaurants, schools, tour guides, cultural associations, and companies.
